Narrowdale began on the footpaths of the same handful of national parks in England. Long weekends away in the Peak District in Derbyshire and the Lake District in Cumbria. In the months when the weather is unpredictable and the night comes early.
The idea
What we loved on those paths was not the technical kit. Almost nobody was dressed for a summit at all, they were in a stylish cardigan and a good coat… the same things they would wear into town afterwards.
That is the wardrobe we wanted to sell. Clothes that suit the season and the setting, without pretending to be equipment.
What we look for
Texture first. Cable, check, cord, brushed weaves, the kind that make a piece read as the back half of the year rather than any other time.
Colour taken from the same places we walk. Bracken, limestone, moss, slate. And cuts that sit over other things without bulk, because most of what we sell goes on top of something else.
Every product uses the same size chart, linked from every product page. Sizing varies between pieces, so check rather than assume.
